Robert at E30 Motorwerks helped me install a lightweight flywheel, new transmission, and a new clutch kit in my E30 M3.

I'm very happy with the upgrades and the level of friendly service provided. Robert got the job done on time and for a price that was very fair. On another occasion, he helped me install new control arms and bushings on the same car.

I've taken my car to quite a few different shops over the years, and
unfortunately it seems like they see cubic dollars when you pull up in a
BMW, and try to charge you more because they think you must be "rich." I've even been disappointed by BMW dealerships who seem like they want to concentrate on the new cars or have forgotten how to work on our vintage cars. Plus, I don't want to pay $90+/hr in labor charges!
Robert is an E30 enthusiast like me, so I'm comfortable taking my car there and know that I'll get an honest opinion and fair prices for repairs or
upgrades.

Robert rebuilt my M42 engine with some reliability and performance upgrades over the stock unit, and it's been running like a top ever since.
History: Bought a 1991 318is, tried to bring it to Robert's, but the engine exploded and became scrap. We sourced another block and crank, etc and Robert built a set-up per my requests that was more durable than the stock system, and that had a bit of extra top-end.

bob hooked my up with some pimp recondition rods. they were shotpeened, side beams polished, balanced, big end resized, small end rebushed, and came with rod bolts for a good price!

i was in a hurry to get my new turbo motor together, and he made sure i had them back in about a week. my local machine shop (they build countless drag motors) also said the rods looked very good. dont hesitate to put faith in this dude because he wont let you down!

My experience with Robert was absolutely the best experience i have ever had with a mechanic. his rates were totally reasonable and the work he did seems to be high quality work. he was completely up front with me about the costs and it never changed. he even emailed me a picture of the parts that i had ordered and had shipped to his house. he explained every detail of what was going on and just followed up with another email today. good mechanics are hard to find. honest ones are even harder. he is both of those and with the little touches like the email and the follow up i will not take my car anywhere else.

 He was beyond professional with amazingly competitive prices...and nice to boot. I would never think twice about using him as a mechanic again...he's got my vote +1. He is always ready to work hard and willing to work with your schedule. Never before could I say that I'd like to go to hang out with my mechanic!

Robert is a very nice and helpful guy. He also does top-notch work at great prices. I sent my '88 E30 to him for a LOT of suspension work. The car came back with a fresh suspension and was given a car wash, too! I'm very pleased with the work.

It's hard to find a good mechanic these days so I'm happy that I found Robert. I live about 100 miles away from him but he's worth the trip.

I had Robert get my driveshaft remanufactured and reinstalled, as well as install an e36 M3 shifter. He was totally set on finishing the project by the time we agreed upon. His sage wisdom about all things e30 was really helpful, and after a 2 hour drive immediately following my picking up the car, I can say that his work and his work ethic are top notch.

Robert fixed my F'ed up wiring from a hacked-in alarm. Wires where everywhere, Shit didn't work, It was WW3.

Figured everything out, useless wires where tossed, and everything
is perfect. Redid my turbo timer I hacked in myself. REAL pro.
Everything was just pro and done how it's supposed to be done!

E30 MotorWerks is the only reason I'm still driving my E30 today.

A few months ago, my m42 was destroyed and needed to be rebuilt. Given my housing situation, time restraints and general lack of skill- there was no way I could rebuild the motor myself.

I must say I could not be happier with the results. Throughout the build, Robert was great about calling me up and letting me know exactly what was going on. There was never a time I felt my money was not being well spent.

I am coming to fully appreciate the level of detail that was put into the rebuild. Parts of the build no one would ever see have all been meticulously and thoughtfully put together.
